Join us for the opening reception of
PatchWorks 2015: The Annual Juried Members Exhibition on Sunday, June 28 from 5:00-7:00 PM.

This annual show gives current members of the Patchogue Arts Council the opportunity to exhibit their artwork at the Patchogue Arts Gallery located at 20 Terry St., Patchogue. The exhibition is on display through August 16.

2015 marks the fourth year PAC has held an exhibition exclusively for its members at the Patchogue Arts Gallery. PAC is thrilled to have Cherie Via Rexer, Owner/Director of Ripe Art Gallery in Huntington, NY as juror.

Gilbert & Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance - English National Opera
Thursday, July 2 at 6:30 PM 
 
Sentimental pirates, blundering policemen, absurd adventures, and improbable paradoxes - Gilbert & Sullivan's dazzling Pirates of Penzance comes to ENO in a highly anticipated new production from renowned film maker and director Mike Leigh.  This much-loved comic opera is a showcase of brilliant humor and razor-sharp wit and features a sparkling score chock-full of memorable melodies and catchy tunes.

For an additional cost, the Saturday morning screenings feature brunch by Goldberg's Famous Bagels and a Mimosa, wine, or beer from The Plaza's Blue Velvet Lounge; the Thursday evening screenings feature a cheese platter from The Cheese Patch to pair with select wines or beers from The Plaza's Blue Velvet Lounge.

Studio 5404 Art Space, 5404 Merrick Road, Massapequa is pleased to announce "Artist Roundtable" on July 16 at 7:30 PM. Artists working independently and in need of feedback and critique of their work are invited to share their visions with other artists and join the Artist Roundtable to discuss technique, content, style, and concept. Bring original pieces to Studio 5404, and the Artist Roundtable will bring out the best in your work, helping you to reach a new and better understanding to push for a new and stronger direction. The Huntington Arts Council, Inc. seeks a full-time Grants for the Arts Coordinator. The Grants for the Arts Coordinator is the organization's primary manager and liaison for NYSCA's (New York State Council on the Arts) Long Island Decentralization regrant program, serving both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The South Bay Art Association (SBAA) presents the annual Artists on the Lane
on Saturday, July 4 (rain date: Sunday, July 5) in downtown Bellport from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  Artists on the Lane is a fine art show and sale, not a craft show. Stroll down Bellport Lane and meet artists from the tri-state area who will showcase their paintings, photographs, and sculptures. Raffle tickets for works of art donated by participating artists will be sold to support the Student Scholarship Fund. Be inspired by the artists and purchase an original piece of art for that special place in your home or office.

SBAA seeks artists who wish to participate in the annual Artists on the Lane on Saturday, July 4 (rain date: Sunday, July 5). Sculpture is permitted, but please send an image to southbayart@gmail.com beforehand for review of to avoid misunderstanding as to what is accepted by SBAA. The fee for a 10 foot x 10 foot  spot on the lane is $55 for SBAA members and $75 for non-members. Visit http://www.southbayart.org/4th.html for complete details and to register online. The South Bay Art Association (SBAA) presents Paint the Great South Bay Plein Air Event and Wet Paint Sale 2015.
Artists are invited to paint en plein air along the Great South Bay, ranging from Smith Point Beach to West Sayville in areas south of Sunrise Highway. The event will be limited to 40 plein air artists over 18 on a first come first serve basis. Artists will paint Thursday, August 20 thru Saturday August 22, rain or shine. Artists are invited to bring their framed and ready to hang work created during the event to the Bellport Arts Gallery (FORMERLY, The Phoenix Gallery) located at 139 S. Country Road, Bellport, on August 22 from 7:00-9:00 PM for inclusion in the closing exhibition. The Wet Paint Show and Sale will open on Sunday, August 23 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM with a reception from 1:00-4:00 PM. Registration is open for the 21st Annual Choral Festival at Brookhaven featuring Vivaldi, Gilbert and Sullivan, and Copland. Rehearsals are Monday, July 20 thru Saturday, July 25.
