Log Jam 6

Join us for the annual Log Jam PAC Fundraiser on Sunday May 24 at the Blue Point Brewery from noon to 7:00 PM. $10 admission includes one beverage. All proceeds benefit PAC programming. 

Log Jam 6 features four flavors of Jam! The Brother Pluckers, Noah's Ark, Shecky and the Twangtones, and Jerry Jammers. Sound engineering by Don Audio.

Call for Artists at Log Jam

The Patchogue Arts Council is looking for participants to enter our annual growler painting competition at Log Jam! This is an opportunity for artists to show off their skill and imagination. It is also an afternoon of live art, music and fun! Acrylic paint, water, rags, and primed glass growlers will be provided; please bring any brushes or special paint you may want in addition. This is a fundraising event, so all growlers will be raffled off. There are will be a juried winner and a people's choice winner. Both winners will receive a complimentary 1 year membership to the Patchogue Arts Council and a full growler from the Blue Point Brewery!!  In addition the juried winner will be displayed at the annual PAC Summer exhibition. Good luck, and thank you for your support of local art and culture.

The Patchogue Garden Club is hosting a bus trip to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden on Sunday, May 17, 2015. The bus will leave promptly at 9:00 AM from the parking lot across from Artspace on Terry Street in Patchogue and will return to the same location by 6:00 PM. The price is $50.00 which includes your admission ticket to the garden, the bus ride, and the driver's tip. Lunch is on your own. Phoenix Fine Arts Gallery, home of the Brookhaven Arts Council presents Plein Air. Artists are invited to submit for exhibition by dropping off at the gallery located at 139 S. The Islip Art Museum is pleased to announce its annual open call exhibition, IAM Pocket Sized, calling for artists to contribute work in all media that is miniature in size. This exhibit is curated by Rhonda Cooper and will be on display from June 28 through September 30. There will be a reception on June 28 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. How small is miniature, you ask? Works should be small enough to hold in the palm of your hand or smaller! (8"x8" max without frame). As has been previously done, we are calling upon the global community of artists to submit their work for an exhibition of contemporary miniature works of art. The Suffolk Center on the Holocaust, Diversity and Human Understanding, Inc. is seeking submissions for the 9th annual outdoor art exhibition celebrating diversity, Embracing Our Differences Long Island. Together with related activities and events, the exhibition demonstrates that diversity enriches lives and helps build communities that value inclusion and acceptance. We invite you to submit your work and participate in creating a more inclusive society. Selected artwork will be enlarged to billboard size and displayed. Submission deadline is May 18. Invitation to Artists for the Patchogue Garden Club's 15th Annual Garden Tour "Art in the Gardens" on July 11, 2015. Artists are invited to submit works of art to be displayed in  the private gardens participating in the tour and/or the Community Garden at South Ocean Avenue and Terry Street, Patchogue Village.  The club is reprising its successful 2010 "Art in the Gardens" tour.  To exhibit, submit up to 3 .jpegs of work that is able to stand alone or be hung, along with the title and medium to [email protected]. Subjects to include flowers, trees, gardens, nature, etc. Work must be framed and wired ready to hang on lattice. Artists will be notified of selection at the latest by June 5.

If selected for exhibit in a private garden, you will be told in advance the address of the garden for dropping off your work. Drop off for private garden exhibit is on the morning of the tour at 8:30 AM and pick up is at 3:30 PM. If selected for exhibit in the Community Garden, you will drop off at the Community Garden located on the corner of South Ocean Avenue and Terry Street at 8:30 AM and pick up will be at the same location at 2:00 PM.

Yes: there will be security for the day; you can make other drop off/pick up arrangements; the Garden Club will have provisions to protect from rain; you will need to sign a waiver of liability.  No: there is no fee to submit work; the Garden Club will not sell your work; there is no commission to the Garden Club if you do. A list of work available for sale will be provided to patrons of the tour.  To be included on the list, please provide your name and contact information along with the title, medium, and price of the work by July 1.
