PAC MAC 2014 CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS!
|
 PAC MAC will be a downtown-centric, multi-day, multi-venue festival encompassing (M)usic, (A)rts and (C)inema from October 17-26, 2014. The events schedule is coming together, and there is too much to list here! Stay tuned for a full schedule of events. Are you looking for a way to become involved in your community? If you're energetic, outgoing and passionate about the arts, PAC wants you! Got something to offer? During the PAC MAC festival October 17-26, 2014, we will need volunteers with time and energy for:
- Greeters + help to sign up visitors
- Gallery ambassadors for gallery maintenance/hospitality
- Runners
- Event setup/breakdown, including painting of walls in pop-up galleries

- Event photography
- Blogs
- Art handlers
- Street team to hand out festival maps and flyers
|

Islip Arts Council presents its Annual Arts, Antiques & Collectibles Fair on the grounds of Brookwood Hall Park, Montauk Hwy, E. Islip, NY on Saturday, September 27 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (rain date: Sunday, September 28). Bloomingdale's, Long Island Arts Alliance, and the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce present a collaborative art exhibition to celebrate September's National Hispanic Heritage Month, a prelude to the celebration of Arts Alive LI October Arts Month. There will be an artists' reception on Thursday, September 18 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Bloomingdale's Furniture Gallery at the Roosevelt Field Mall, 630 Old Country Road, Garden City, NY 11530. The exhibit is on display thru October 26 and features work by the following 12 Hispanic American Artists: Berges Alvarez, Juliana Bedoya, Naomi Bonilla Diracles, Hector Cordova, Anahi DeCanio, Victoria Febrer, Samantha Hernandez, Freddy Lopez, Erika Palumbo, Paul Rodriguez, Jessica Valentin, and Carlos Velez.
