PAC President John Cino will be at Roast Coffee & Tea Trading Company on Main Street in Patchogue this Saturday, May 4 at 10:30 AM.  John will be available to hear your ideas and concerns about the future direction and activities of the Art Council.

"Transferred"
 
Join us at the Patchogue Arts Gallery on Friday, May 10 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM for the opening reception of "Transferred." 

"Transferred" is the gallery's first guest curated exhibition featuring the concept and choices of artist and curator Jason Paridis.  The exhibit will run from May 10 - June 15.

Log Jam Returns! 
Log Jam 4, a day of music and art will return to the Blue Point Brewery on Saturday, May 25. The Log Jam series has become one of PAC's most popular fundraisers, and this year's event will feature the return of the Log Jam Orchestra.  Keep an eye on your inbox for more info and full line-up.  

Call for Artists Open to Patchogue Arts Council Members
Roast Coffee & Tea Trading Co is proud to host the Patchogue Arts Council Member Gallery.  Members in good standing are invited to submit images of work for solo exhibitions that will last approximately 7 weeks.  Roast will host an artist reception. All work must be ready for hanging.  This opportunity will be juried by staff of Roast and the Patchogue Arts Council.  Send submissions including 5-10 jpegs of recent work, size, and medium to [email protected] by May 3 with "PAC Member Gallery Wall" in the subject line.  Submissions will be reviewed between May 3 and May 10.  Exhibition dates to be announced.

Opportunity for Artists

BAHC: Phoenix Gallery located at 139 South Country Road, Bellport.
Open to members and non-members:  "The 2 Week Show", drop off: May 5, from noon to 4:00 PM; there is no reception for this show, and the fee is 3 submissions for $25.  Work pick up is May 19 from noon to 4:00 PM.  Visit brookhavenarts.org/phoenix for more information.

East End Arts Council, Riverhead, NY - Call for street painting artists and fine artisan/craft vendors for East End Arts' 17th Annual Community Mosaic Street Painting Festival, May 26 from noon to 5:00 PM.  Artists  are invited to exhibit and sell their work in the fine arts & crafts market, as well as to participate in the street painting activities.
Fine Artisan & Crafts Vendors are invited to submit photos of their original work for consideration for the fine art and craft sale held outdoors. Artists and artisans may reserve a 10' x 10' space for a $50 for EEA members, or $150 for non-members.
Street Painting Artists that are over the age of 14 are encouraged to register in advance. Pre-registered street painters will be matched with a sponsored square on a first-come-first-serve basis. Chalk and blending materials are provided. It is recommended that street painters bring kneepads and a hat. Artwork must be suitable for public viewing. No words or symbols intended as advertising may appear within the image, however artists may sign their names. Registration deadline: May 15. Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (BACCA's) - Artists from all across the Long Island and Metro areas are invited to enter BACCA's 24th Annual Judged Art Exhibition which will take place in June. The show will be held at the Old Town Hall at 47 West Main Street, Babylon. Patchogue Sketch Club
The Patchogue Sketch Club was created for the purpose of getting people together to discover the value of sketching. Sketching itself is its own art form; sketching helps artists "see" better and enhances drawing skills. Sketching is also a fun way of recording the world around us much more intimately than a camera.
