Tina Folks is a ceramic sculptor and has been working with clay for over twenty-five years. Her sculptures evoke the mythologies of ancient civilizations from Egypt to the Americas, exploring both the heavenly and earthly realms. Her latest Tablets series examines the notion of record keeping as she uses its imagery to recall obsolete objects from our modern society.
Robert Mielenhausen has had his art exhibited in numerous exhibitions in the United States and abroad over the course of his career. For his recent mixed-media reliefs, he draws inspiration from the artistic and architectural remains of ancient Rome. The art embraces the literal and the abstract, transporting the viewer to a rich and mysterious period of time.
Jose Ojeda is a fine artist from the Bronx and recently received his MFA from Stony Brook University. His artwork deals with the excavation of identity through resurrecting ancient history and heritage within a modern context. By combining his interests in Pre-Hispanic metallurgy with popular culture icons from his youth, he bends the perceptions of time. |
