PATCHOGUE, NY - February 19, 2013 - The Patchogue Arts Council proudly announces the first "South By South Shore Music & Arts Festival," a cultural celebration in the Village of Patchogue April 2 - 7, 2013.
South by South Shore celebrates the arts in Patchogue by coordinating events in music, art, film, theatre, and spoken word for six days at venues all over town. For fans of the arts, this continues the renaissance that has made Patchogue a destination for cultural tourists. The 1st annual South By South Shore Music & Arts Festival will provide an opportunity for families and friends, locals and visitors to experience all the village has to offer while listening to heart-stopping folk melodies, getting down to funky beats, and enjoying local arts, eats, and entertainment.
To add a festive atmosphere to the event, plans are in the works to incorporate a Saturday night New Orleans' style "Sidewalk Promenade" passing the venues participating in the festival.
