Join us this Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM for the Patchogue Arts Council's Annual Member Meeting.  

 

Plaza Cinema next door will be graciously hosting our meeting this year.  Everyone is welcome, members and non-members.  We hope you can join us as we look ahead to the programs and events on the horizon for 2013 and meet and network with other PAC members and supporters.

Artspace Patchogue Presents "Black & White: A Take on Tradition", which is certain to be a stark and visually arresting exhibition of resident and nonresident artists' works that are entirely comprised of black and white media at the Artspace building gallery at 20 Terry Street. Gallery hours are Thursday 1/24 and Friday 1/25 7:00 - 9:00 PM; and Saturday 1/26 1:00-5:00 PM.

Windows on the Lake and Long Island Relief Associates are putting on a gala event for those hurt by Superstorm Sandy. Working together and through ambitious endeavors, Windows on the Lake and Long Island Relief Associates would like to give away a sum of $10,000 to five families affected by this tragic event. Join Long Island's most influential people and rising artists whose work will be auctioned off and a percent of the proceeds donated to the cause. The East End Arts Gallery presents "Diversity" 
"Diversity", an all media juried art show is on display at the East End Arts Gallery through March 8, 2013.  There will be a reception on Friday, February 1, 2013. The guest juror for this show is internationally-known East End artist Frank Wimberly. This show is in conjunction with an exhibit of a similar theme at the Suffolk County Historical Society. 

  

  

Call for Artists:  Reflection, A Juried Fine Art Exhibit
The Mills Pond House Gallery March 23 through April 26, 2013
Reflection can be either a physical or psychological phenomenon. Together they evoke the interplay between perception and conception. Entries will be judged on the originality and insight with which they embody this theme visually in traditional as well as new media. Entry deadline February 1, 2012, juror: James H. Patchogue Sketch Club
The Patchogue Sketch Club was created for the purpose of getting people together to discover the value of sketching. Sketching itself is its own art form, sketching helps artists "see" better and enhances drawing skills. Sketching is also a fun way of recording the world around us much more intimately than a camera.
