East End Arts Seeks Judges for 2013 Teeny Awards: Judges Needed High School Theater Recognition Program East End Arts' Teeny Awards Judging Committee is seeking qualified volunteers for evaluating high school theatrical performances on the East End for the 2012-2013 academic year. The Teeny Awards is a high school theater recognition program, founded and run by East End Arts since 2002. The program, entering its 11th year, recognizes and celebrates talented theater students across the East End of Long Island. The judges are a very important component of the Teeny Awards since they adjudicate all performances and determine the most outstanding performances to receive the highest honor: a Teeny Award. Judges will be selected based on experience and knowledge of theater. Judges attend high school productions anonymously and adjudicate students with the use of an evaluation tool based on the academic rubric. Orientation is provided. Theatrical performances take place at 15 high schools in eastern Suffolk County. All judges are invited to the gala awards ceremony in June 2013. Applications for judges are available at http://eastendarts.org/TEMPfiles2012/Teeny2012-13JudgesApp.pdf as well as by contacting Teeny Awards Coordinator Morgan Vaughan at teenyawards@eastendarts.org or 310-600-4296, or East End Arts at 631-727-0900. Call for Artists: The Ones that Got Away: Celebrating Long Island Artists
The Mills Pond House Gallery January 12 through February 8, 2013
We all know that we submit some of our favorite works to a juried art show, yet they just did not catch the eye of or hook of the one doing the judging. We also know how subjective and difficult it is for a juror to acknowledge so few art works from so many other fine works. The Mills Pond House Gallery wishes to give these artists an opportunity to display work that has never captured any award, recognition, or prize in any show, despite the artists' pride in their work. Entry deadline November 30, 2012, $15 entry fee, prospectus at www.stacarts.org/exhibits/show/65, for more information call 631-862-6575 or email gallery@stacarts.org.
Call for Artists: Reflection, A Juried Fine Art Exhibit
The Mills Pond House Gallery March 23 through April 26, 2013
Reflection can be either a physical or psychological phenomenon. Together they evoke the interplay between perception and conception. Entries will be judged on the originality and insight with which they embody this theme visually in traditional as well as new media. Entry deadline February 1, 2012, juror: James H. Rubin, $45 for 3 entries, prospectus at www.stacarts.org/exhibits/show/67, for more information call 631-862-6575 or email gallery@stacarts.org.

| Patchogue Sketch Club |
The Patchogue Sketch Club was created for the purpose of getting people together to discover the value of sketching. Sketching itself is its own art form, sketching helps artists "see" better and enhances drawing skills. Sketching is also a fun way of recording the world around us much more intimately than a camera. For more information about upcoming sketch outings and gatherings visit their blog at
