Greetings from the new Executive Director
Dear Friends of Hand on Tokyo,
I have long admired the excellent work done by Hands On Tokyo in the metropolitan area, first as a volunteer and more recently as the Representative Director at another non-profit organization. As such, I am honored to accept the role of Executive Director at Hands On Tokyo and filled with excitement at the tremendous potential represented by this groundbreaking organization.
I am committed to offering a diverse Project offering to meet our Volunteer interest, Partner needs and Sponsor interest. I have, therefore, set a goal to increase our fundraising targets as well as the number of partners we serve. I will, also, focus on a renewed Teen Advisory Board initiative, and, to this end, with private sector sponsorship, we are creating a formal training program to give our youngest volunteers the tools and support they need to create meaningful volunteer opportunities for their peers.
With a full menu of projects, we will be able to achieve a greater impact upon the important issues we look to address. More than anything, I intend to live by the words of our founder and BE THE CHANGE. VOLUNTEER.
Finally, I would like to thank the Board of Directors, and look to your continued support in taking Hands On Tokyo to the next level as the pre-eminent, bi-lingual non profit organization providing meaningful volunteer opportunities for all.
