Interested in learning more about the New Ohio Learning Standards and Next Generation Assessments? Join us on Wednesday, November 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the High School Auditorium as Char Shryock, Head of the Ohio Educator Leader Cadre, provides an in-depth look into Ohio's New Standards and assessments.

3. FHS Seniors help 63 residents with Fall Clean-up 85 senior students from Fairview High School joined forces on Wednesday, November 5, to tidy up nearly 70 yards in Fairview Park as part of the Seniors Helping Seniors volunteer event. Way to go, seniors! View the photos.

4. iTechU showcases student projects, innovative learning tools and applications
Dozens of parents, students and community members turned out for the district's first iTechU Family Tech Night at Gilles-Sweet on Wednesday, November 5, to learn more about how students are using new, innovative technology to transform their learning experiences. The event began with a short presentation on the district's tech initiative, which includes engaging students to think critically and problem solve using core learning tools and innovative 21st-Century learning objectives. Following the presentation, attendees visited the computer lab and library for student-led application tutorials, project presentations and iPad demonstrations. Check out the photos.
