Gabriel's Angels

2012

Greetings!

A Holiday Message from Pam Gaber
                    Gabriel's Angels CEO & Founder

On behalf of everyone at Gabriel's Angels, I cannot thank you enough for all you do for our Valley's children. In my heart, I know how very proud Gabriel is for the continued success of what he so innocently started.  While I miss him every day, my life's purpose is to carry on his legacy.

Thank you for being part of this journey and being one of Gabriel's Angels.

                         Happy Holidays!

Season's Reflections

by Pam & Joe Womeldorf and Dakota

For the first 17 months of being a co-registered therapy team with our Golden Retriever, Dakota, we visited a Boys & Girls Club. We gained immense understanding of the value of the unconditional love of a therapy dog for at-risk children. After soul searching we decided to bring pet therapy to a different group of youth - ones who have experienced life through many unfortunate events. We now bring Dakota to All My Children, a Phoenix residential group home.

2012 - Our 1st Year of Individual Intervention Therapy

Our innovative program has engaged 17 Phoenix Therapy Teams to experience the rewards of animal assisted therapy with one child in a clinical setting. As we move into the new year, please consider participating in this ground-breaking program. It generally takes 10-12 weeks and you can take an absence from your group visits during this time if you wish. Clinical knowledge is not required.

Please contact Kristi Wisdom to learn more!

Thank you for bringing unconditional love to at-risk children and best wishes for blessings in this holiday season and
coming new year!

Happy Retirement!

Gerri Kursinski and Boji, her 13-year old Schnoodle, have visited at-risk children for almost a decade! The first year they visited young children at the homeless shelter, Homeward Bound. During the next seven years they visited teen girls at Florence Crittenton, a residential group home.

Gerri recalls the break-through bonds that happened through the teenagers interaction with Bogi - petting, brushing and walking her on a leash - which resulted in the core behaviors of trust, attachment, empathy and respect flourishing.

Thank you, Gerri & Boji - for your service and love!
