One way I have found to encourage my children to eat a healthy and balanced diet is involving them in the entire food process: meal planning, grocery shopping, prepping and cooking. This not only makes my son excited to cook and eat food, but provides lessons in nutrition, math, science and language. He loves to page through cookbooks with me while planning meals, looking for new ideas that look yummy.
