2014 was a great year for reading. There was so much good story-telling in fiction and nonfiction alike. The stories captured my imagination and, in some cases, I still think about them nearly every day. Station Eleven was an outstanding book with a universally appealing story that went to a deeper place than I had anticipated. Speaking of deeper places-Fourth of July Creek. It's a brutal, hard book with a protagonist so real to me that I could see him move and hear him speak. Apparently it took Smith Henderson ten years to write it (it's also his first novel) and...  to read the rest, click here!
