Parent and Family Programs Survey

Parent and Family Programs is currently evaluating the services we offer to our families and we need your help to ensure we are meeting your needs.

The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete. Participation is voluntary, anonymous, and will not affect your (or your student's) current or future relationship with WMU.

In appreciation for your time, you can enter a drawing at the conclusion of the survey for a Family Weekend 2016 package, including tailgate, football, and Sunday brunch tickets.

Please let us know how we are doing and thank you in advance!

New Student Orientation

Orientation is quickly approaching for incoming new students and families. We are looking forward to welcoming you to campus next month.

Orientation is a comprehensive overview of WMU that includes an overnight stay in a residence hall for students. There are many hotels near by for family members and many offer a discount with the MyWMU Concierge Card.

The Parent and Family Orientation program is an essential component of student support and includes:
  • An interactive session "Traveling the road to and through college", focused on your family's transition.
  • A Mixer with WMU faculty, staff, administrators and current student leaders.
  • The Bronco Way theatrical performance that brings to life many of the key moments that students experience.
  • Informational sessions to help you and your student make a smooth transition to college.
