Does your student's WMU financial aid include a Work Study award?

Federal Work Study is an easy way to find a job.

  • Work Study provides part-time campus employment while your student is enrolled at WMU.
  • Work Study is need-based financial aid, setting aside money (an award) that a student can earn by working on campus, and even off-campus.
  • This is just like any other job; your student works and gets paid an hourly wage.
  • The earnings from working go directly to the student in an electronic paycheck.
  • Earnings do not count against future financial aid eligibility.
  • Work Study jobs are available all over campus, and some off campus.

Not sure if your student has a Work Study award? Check out this online frequently asked questions page:

Does your student want help finding a job? Career and Student Employment Services can help your student find a Work Study job if Work Study has been awarded. Visit BroncoJOBS to view all currently posted job opportunities, call (269) 387-2745 or stop in 1400 Ellsworth Hall.
