Things to know...

Fall Semester Tuition and Fees

Tuition invoices for the Fall 2013 semester will be printed and mailed to each student's permanent address on Friday, August 2. Information will also be available through GoWMU and to authorized users.

WMU is now able to accept payment with a VISA card on the Payment and Account Information website. Payments are subject to a 2.75% convenience fee processed by a third-party processor. Click here for complete information about payment options and payment plans.

Buster's Family Weekend Adventure and Homecoming 2013: Oct. 11-13

We hope you can join your WMU student and our WMU family for a great weekend of exciting events and activities on Oct. 11-13. Event and ticket information is available on the Family Weekend website and will be continually updated as we receive new details.

We encourage you to order your free MyWMU Concierge Card if you haven't done so. It offers you great discounts on hotels, restaurants, and many other businesses!

New Students and Families - Move-in and Fall Welcome Information

It's the moment you've been waiting for....almost time to move your student on campus for the fall semester, so we want to be sure you have this valuable information:

Fall Welcome Parent/Family Hospitality Tents

We know that move-in day can be stressful, tiring, and sometimes emotional. We encourage you to stop by our parent/family hospitality tent on Monday, Aug. 26 or Tuesday, Aug. 27 anytime between 11:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. to enjoy refreshments and take a breath. WMU faculty, staff, students, and administrators will be available to chat and answer your last-minute questions. You can also write an encouraging note to your student that we will deliver a couple of weeks into the semester.

Returning Students and Families

If your returning student is moving into the residence halls, returning student move-in begins on Friday, Aug. 30 at 9 a.m. and continues throughout the Labor Day weekend.

If your student is moving off-campus into an apartment, we urge you to consider purchasing renter's insurance. This small investment can save you and your student from a huge hassle in the event of an emergency.
