Goodyear's Mike Janko, Named to DRI Board
|
 Congratulations are in order for Mike Janko, who has been named to the DRI International Board of Directors!
"I greatly appreciate the opportunity to serve on the DRI International Board of Directors and will work with all team members to maintain our standards of excellence, to continuously improve on programs and processes and to increase the value of certified business continuity professionals in all regions, sectors and organizations of all sizes," Janko said.
Janko has over 25 years' experience in all aspects of business continuity planning, including incident management, crisis communications, business impact analysis, disaster recovery and risk management. He is a Master Business Continuity Professional (MBCP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Business Continuity Lead Auditor (CBCLA) and Certified Engineering Operations Executive (CEOE), with a Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering. He is currently working as the Manager of Global Business Continuity for The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. He is responsible for strategic and tactical business continuity related activities for Goodyear's global operations, which include 52 plants in 22 countries with some 69,000 associates, and annual sales of approximately $21 billion US.

 DRI2014: The Professional's Conference is being hosted at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Atlanta hotel, right in downtown Atlanta. Lifetime Achievement and Service Provider of the Year Nominations Due November 15!

Nominations for two DRI 2014 Awards of Excellence categories are due by November 15. Those categories are Lifetime Achievement and Service Provider of the Year. Winners in each category are chosen by DRI certified professionals casting their votes online. The list of nominees will be announced on November 18.

DRI at November 17 BCM Forum in Qatar

DRI is pleased to announce that we will be working with Q-CERT on Qatar's BCM Forum, an exclusive half-day business continuity event on November 17, featuring Al Berman, as the honorary guest speaker.
Berman will share his insights on topics like emerging issues and challenges in business continuity, and the recent updates to the ISO 22301 standards.

 Join John Franchy, DRI Board Member and Staff Officer for the U.S. Department of Defense, for the CPM West/ Gov Sec. Conference in Gaylord, Texas November 18-21. Franchy's session -- "Storming, Norming & Performing: Increasing Federal Public Sector Program Office Effectiveness through Training, Certification and Standards" -- is sure to be informative and interesting.
