Meetings will be held in: Bakersfield (May 7), Watsonville (May 9), Berkeley/Oakland (May 11), Coachella (May 14), Long Beach (May 21), Los Angeles (May 22 and 23), Santa Ana (May 29), San Diego (May 30). Webinars will be held in Spanish on June 4 and in English on June 5.

 g By Josephine S. Talamantez g On January 23, 2013, Chicano Park and the Chicano Park Monumental Murals were listed on the National Register of Historic Places.... Not only do the murals represent exceptional works of public art that transformed the grey concrete support pillars and abutments of the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge, they were also our 'super information highway' documenting through visual iconography historical and current events and validating our cultural legacy.

The California Arts Council is in the process of creating a new Strategic Plan. To do so, the Arts Council is conducting a "listening tour," a series of meetings to ask for input from the arts field and other interested Californians. They need your input; attend a meeting in your area!
