Update on Solar Panels, PV for Phebe Project!
(Jan 13, 2017)

Greetings! Please know a 40' hi-cube container with SOLAR PANELS is on-route to beautiful Liberia! With much praises to God, we celebrate this partnership with RREAL and the Women of the ELCA, who have been so faithful and generous in supporting the solar project at Phebe Hospital, and who have tirelessly worked hard to make this project and shipment a reality. Praise God!

Note: This shipment is the first half of the solar project. A second 40' container will be loaded in early January and will include the balance of the equipment. As with GHM (Global Health Ministries) shipments, we love to fill empty space and so we packed medical supplies around the crates of solar panels and inside the concrete forms. We pray this will prevent the load from shifting and any potential damage. Please know the 40' hi-cube container is purchased (SOC - Shipper Owned Container) and is included in the donation to the LCL. The 40' container is to be used as storage of the solar equipment until a team from RREAL arrives in March to assist with installation. You may need to rent a crane to offload the container at Phebe, and to prevent any damage to the solar panels inside. Please confirm if this is possible, and you can make arrangements before the container arrives.

"HELPING THE HANDS THAT HEAL"
Bishop's Visitation to Confirmation Students and their parents

Bishop Aitken invites you to request him for a Bishop's Visitation to your Confirmation Class.  What works best for his schedule is to do these Visitations to clusters of congregations. He encourages parents to come that night as well so he can meet them and include them in the teaching time. He will teach the gospel, talk about Christian Vocation, the role of the Christian in our world, our call in Christ and end with Communion and Commissioning for service with Anointing oil from Palestine.
