We are Called, Gathered, Equipped and Sent to share the Heart of God (Cardia Deo) in the world. This year we focus on what it means to be EQUIPPED. Bible studies led by the LYO Board, a ministry learning event that will equip youth to grow in and share their faith, worship, mystery event, camp life and an adult track led by the treat chaplain (Pastor Marty Hancer) all make this event a deeply meaningful, fun and faith-nurturing event.

The LYO Board is a leadership development opportunity for youth and adults who are already leaders in their congregations, and are ready for that next step of leading on a larger and deeper level with more responsibility and opportunities to share their faith. The LYO Board has HIGH expectations of its members, and requires full participation in its training camp, meetings and events. Why? The synod relies on the LYO to provide quality, faith-filled events for 1,000 middle school youth and 200 high school youth each year - it's a big responsibility!

Peace Not Walls: A Young Adult Justice Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Are you or do you know a young adult (ages 18-30) interested in justice, peace-making, relationship-building, and international travel? Join the Northeastern Minnesota Synod  of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America's (ELCA) Peace Not Walls working group as we journey together on a pilgrimage of faith and accompaniment to the Holy Land (August 6th-17th, 2015) . As we walk where Jesus walked, we will also seek to live as Jesus lived, striving for understanding, peace, and justice for all people in the Holy and Broken Land of Palestine and Israel. Contact trip leaders Laura Mills or Bjørnstjerne Anderson (lmmills0819@gmail.com or ande9318@d.umn.edu) with questions or further inquiries. We hope you will join us!
