 Next weekend is our Soundsurfer event - it's for everyone, even your dog. Mark and Bailey (left) started paddling together a week ago, and they've signed up! Soundsurfer is about children and families, having fun, being healthy, and supporting the environment. Your $95 donation helps children with diabetes, our local Harborwatch, Al's Angels and FOCUS (for our children's unlimited success). To participate in Soundsurfer you don't have to raise money - we know there are so many causes out there, and appreciate anything that you can do. Register now, as the cut off is Thursday at midnight. Clinics from Professional SUP Athletes - open to all levels of experience Why take a clinic?- Learn to paddle more efficiently, and avoid injury

We were so sorry to hear that Mrs. Felder, owner of the Fish Islands, has passed. Our respects go out to her family. I met the Felders years ago when Downunder was just a baby - they were amazing people. Their home on Contentment Is. Darien faces the islands which they generously shared with the public. While the Fish Islands are private, paddlers may enjoy the waterline up to high tide. You are not allowed to walk the interior of the islands - and shouldn't, as it is a bird sanctuary, and now is when they're nesting.

 | | Rowayton Little League Majors Take to the Water |
We had an awesome time last Saturday - free paddling for kids from 9 through 14 years. We had 12 in Westport and 10 in Rowayton - the Little League Majors came out for softball practice!  Next week Starboard is shipping some inflatable boards for the kids to paddle at Soundsurfer! Yes - that is an inflatable race board pictured above. Reserve by calling the store.
