As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, we want to extend our thanks to the partnerships we've developed throughout the years, our customers, suppliers and the associations that serve our industry. We're also thankful for our employees, without them, we couldn't provide the innovative and quality products or support. Our company is unique in that Besser employees are Besser owners and we take great pride in that.
In 2004, Besser became an employee-owned company. Looking back, this was a tremendous achievement for our traditional, family-owned company. For the first time in 100 years, it meant that every single employee would begin to benefit from the success of the company by becoming shareholders. It was a cultural shift that has since pushed our teams to work smarter and more efficiently. It has created a renewed team building atmosphere that has boosted our company's quality, innovation, and service to greater heights. Being an employee-owned company was a game changer for employees and consequently our customers. We will only continue to get better because of it. A few weeks ago, Besser celebrated Employee Ownership Month with tailgate parties that focused on the importance of being part of a team and what it means to reach our goals.
I would also like to extend our congratulations, on behalf of Besser, to the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) on celebrating 50 years in our industry. We value the support that the NPCA, as well as the other associations which we belong, provides to associates as well as producers.
