Over the past month I've had the opportunity to visit several of our customers and I'm excited about the installation of new Besser block and pipe machines around the world. The Advanced Servo Vibration and Servo Main Drive are increasing production for block customers, no matter the age of the equipment, and the results are excellent. The World Center for Concrete Technology is offering two Blockmakers Workshops® this fall. If you are considering attending or sending your employees to Concrete Masonry Technology or Vibrapac®, I encourage you to consider registering for the October courses as student enrollment is climbing and they are guaranteed to be held. The cost has an excellent return on investment and is a small price to pay for the processes improvements you'll experience when students bring what they've learned back to your plant(s). 

Last month we initiated a company-wide wellness challenge, 80 employees voluntarily joined the challenge and focused on fitness and improving eating habits which resulted in happier, healthier employees. Safety is always a focus at Besser and we've seen a tremendous improvement this year by maintaining a hands-on approach to safety at each Besser location and in our customers' plants.
