Stand Together celebrates the music of our global community with selections from many cultures including Africa, Scandinavia, China, Canada, Australia, and South America. The featured work is Missa Kenya by Paul Basler-inspired by the music of Kenya and influenced by 20th century American classical music and, in the words of the composer, is "colored with a bit of Catholic mysticism".
GNHCC is committed to its goal of "building community one note at a time" and hopes that this music will serve to break down barriers, resolve differences, and transcend borders locally as well as globally. The repertoire encompasses a wide variety of languages, rhythms and harmonies, showcasing the universality of music. With selections from around the world, Greater New Haven Community Chorus will Stand Together to perform this dynamic music for the greater New Haven community.
Tickets are available at www.gnhcc.org or from a GNHCC chorus member in advance for $15, and may be purchased at the door prior to the performance for $20. Don't miss this exciting and dynamic music!

Thank you to all who contributed to GNHCC during The greatGive 2016 fundraising campaign! Despite the extensive technical difficulties experienced by The greatGive organization in communities across the country, this year's campaign was, indeed, very successful raising nearly $1.5 million for community non-profit organizations.
GNHCC is grateful to each of you who participated and is proud to report that a total of 333 unique donors contributed a total of $11,451 to GNHCC during the campaign. Your contributions also helped us win the $5000 prize for the "Most Money Raised by an All-volunteer Organization", for a total of $ 16,451.
Thanks for being among our many committed enthusiasts who recognize and support the value of choral singing and community music making!

Win This Beautiful Quilt!
Some lucky ticket holder will be the winner of this stunning, handcrafted quilt when the raffle drawing is held on June 9th -- it could be you! (The winner does not need to be present at the drawing to win.) Raffle tickets are just $1.00 each and may be purchased from any GNHCC member - or during intermission at the June 5th concert.
This year's pattern, called Hunter's Star, is gorgeous and dramatic. Crafted by the talented quilters who sing with GNHCC, this beautiful quilt is a wonderful collage of 8 colors, including lovely pastel shades, braided together to form an incredible grouping of stars.
Proceeds from this quilt raffle help support the music and mission of Greater New Haven Community Chorus.
