This is just a short note to let you know that Greater New Haven Community Chorus will be starting rehearsals on Thursday evening, January 8 for the Spring semester.  Rehearsals are held every Thursday evening from 7:30 - 10:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 704 Whitney Avenue, New Haven.  (Note: Our second rehearsal on January 15 will be held at Bethesda Lutheran Church at 450 Whitney Avenue, New Haven -- and then we return to First Presbyterian Church.)

GNHCC's Spring 2015 Concert will feature works by Haydn, Jenkins, Walker, Whitacre, and others.  It will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 8:00 PM.

Prospective members are invited to attend three rehearsals as guests before joining. This provides an opportunity for interested singers to meet the chorus and to see if GNHCC provides the atmosphere that they are looking for. The enrollment period is the first three weeks of the semester. Singers who miss the enrollment period and wish to join mid-semester must speak directly with the Artistic Director.

GNHCC -- an ensemble of nearly 100 voices -- takes pride in its performance excellence and offers opportunities for small ensemble work and solos by audition, including the 18 member auditioned GNHCC Chamber Choir.  Participation each semester in a one day retreat is encouraged to help build choral skills and to provide an opportunity to socialize with other members of the chorus.  Chorus members are also encouraged to share individual skills with GNHCC to help fulfill its mission.
