Meet Mr. Erik Lamb! Born in Bogota, Colombia, he attended Georgetown University and University of Chicago for Law School. Prior to coming to Energy, Mr. Lamb was practicing law. He will be teaching World Geography and World History this year. Mr. Lamb joined Energy because he wanted to be a part of a new, innovative school, that is embracing new ideas. As a first year teacher, he is most looking forward to growing alongside his students. Mr. Lamb enjoys playing guitar, chess, and reading. Be sure to stop by and say hello! We are looking forward to a great year with Mr. Lamb!

The University of Houston will be hosting the Energy Institute High School Case Competition this November. The case competition was designed by the Energy Association, a student run organization, for U of H students to develop innovative, green technologies that could be implemented into the design of the new building. 9 student teams have been formed and will be participating in the competition. Teams have been working side by side with Energy Institute students, HISD representatives and VLK Architects, the architects currently designing the new building. Case presentations will be Saturday, November 22nd at the Energy Institute. Winners of the competition may see their concepts implemented into the construction of the new campus! We can't wait to see what these talented students come up with and are thrilled with the collaboration of all those involved to make this a successful competition.
