Special Thanks

Energy would like to thank IPAA/PESA for all of their support! For those parents who don't know, IPAA/PESA is one of our major supporters. They work very hard to secure of funding, plan guest speakers, and plan our field trips. So a huge thank you to IPAA/PESA for their unending support!

TEACHER SPOTLIGHT

Meet Ms. Julie Lockhart!  Ms. Lockhart teaches Integrated Chemistry and Physics and Chemistry this year at the Energy Institute.  Ms. Lockhart is from Longview, Texas and attended Texas A&M.  She is a proud AGGIE!  Ms. Lockhart came to the Energy School because it was an opportunity to work with students who are passionate about science.  And for those students who haven't yet discovered a passion for science, she hopes to unlock their hidden talents through investigative science inquiry labs.  She was drawn to the mission of Energy and specifically the focus on technology.  Ms. Lockhart is an outdoor enthusiast who loves spending time outside with her dog Jessie, urban hammocking, and trying not to die in CROSSFIT!  We are thrilled to have Julie's energy and enthusiasm on our campus this year!

PTSA

PTSA representatives were on hand at Open House to register new members and share important information with parents.  Please be sure to join our PTSA and support Energy!  We are having our first Energy Institute PTSA meeting on Thursday, September 25th at 6pm in the cafeteria.  Everyone is welcomed!  We look forward to seeing you Thursday night.
