SUMMER MUSICAL THEATRE WORKSHOP
Bigger and Better Than Ever with
More Classes, Dates, Instructors, and Fun!
(1 min read)

Yes, we are indeed expanding our popular Summer Musical Theatre Workshop this year in truly exciting ways!

Classes will now be offered for ages 8 to 16.

The sessions will now run for 3 weeks (15 days): July 27 - Aug. 14, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM.

In addition to singing, acting, movement (basic theatre dance and martial arts), we now offer art, basic tap dance, rhythm, and instruction on making your own percusssion instruments!

We've added two new instructors to our core faculty and will also have special guests leading sessions on wig and hair design for the theatre, as well as costuming.  Click here to read faculty bios.

HELP SPONSOR A CHILD THIS SUMMER
(2 min read, 1 min set up, hours of joy)

Did you know that over 95% of the students The Earl Wentz and William Watkins Foundation serves come from families living at or below the poverty line?

We require that all our students pay something towards the costs of their classes.  We never reveal who pays how much.  And we are fully dedicated to our goal of never turning away any interested and qualified student solely based on the ability to pay.

This year's fee for our 3-week Summer Musical Theatre Workshop is set at $350 per student, plus a $30 rental fee for tap shoes for students who do not own their own.

Even with a full house of full-paying students, tuition would not cover our costs for supplies, snacks, instructor fees, travel costs, rentals, etc.

Would you like to help sponsor one of our students this year?

There are many ways to do it:
  • $350 provides tuition for 1 student for 3 weeks, helping our scholarship $$ go further
  • $234 provides tuition for 1 student for 2 weeks
  • $117 provides tuition for 1 student for 1 week
  • $30 provides rental for 1 student's tap shoes for 3 weeks

It's so easy to make a recurring gift to The Earl Wentz and William Watkins Foundation online.  And it's smart:  setting up a recurring payment lets you help without having to remember each week or month.  It also helps us develop our budgets better, knowing your gift is on its way.

A recurring gift allows you to give a particular sum at regular intervals you choose.

You set up the recurring gift just one time (it only takes about 3 minutes), indicating
  • how much money you wish to contribute,

  • how often you wish to contribute that sum,

  • and how many times you wish to contribute that sum.

You can also designate your contribution to support a particular aspect of our work if you choose.  (Donations will go to the foundation's general fund unless you designate otherwise.)
