Looks Like We Made It!
| |
Thanks to you, we made our $1,000 matching gift target in just three weeks! That means we received a dollar-for-dollar match from an anonymous donor for $1,000!
And...it moved us into Phase II of our Matching Gift Challenge!
This time, the terms are a little bit different. We have until November 20 to raise $1,000. And when we do...we'll receive a $1,000 match. But that's only if we raise the full $1,000.
|
I know we can meet this challenge and receive another generous match from a supporter who wishes to remain anonymous in his or her giving. Your generosity and enthusiasm for our work means we beat our October deadline for Phase I by 10 days. This time, we have another 30 days. Please make your gift to this campaign by November 20th.

Each and every contribution you make will further the mission of The Earl Wentz and William Watkins Foundation. The fou ndation is dedicated to the performance and preservation of the musical works of the late Earl Wentz and to fostering the teaching methods and ideals created and espoused by Earl Wentz for students of the arts, with particular emphasis on music and drama. More than 90% of students participating in our educational initiatives so far this year live at or below the poverty line.
Thanks to our joint efforts, we recently provided over $3,500 in scholarships to students who otherwise would have little or no access to arts education of the high-caliber we offer. And our work goes on.
Our in-school residencies bring together members of our communities from all walks of life to help improve literacy, self-esteem, creative expression, and social intelligence, through innovative music and drama programs.
And the coming year holds all kinds of exciting things that we're planning now.
The Earl Wentz and William Watkins Foundation is qualified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
