Council on Aging's oldest client dies at age of 109
Council on Aging's oldest client, Hulda, died recently at the age of 109. She was a wonderful lady who was beautifully cared for by her son and daughter-in-law, with help from the Hamilton County Elderly Services Program. In 2012, Hulda helped support the program's levy campaign by having her photo taken with honorary chairman Buddy LaRosa. Hulda and her family are in our thoughts. Read More

Ohio Department of Medicaid is preparing to transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10
By Oct. 1, 2014, all state Medicaid programs will transition from ICD-9 to ICD-10. This transition will have a major impact on anyone who uses health care information that contains a diagnosis and/or inpatient procedure code and is required of all providers and payers under HIPAA. Learn more

Changes at local Social Security offices
The Social Security Administration recently announced changes to services available in its local field offices. Later this year, field offices will no longer offer social security number (SSN) print outs or benefit verification letters. If you need proof of your SSN and cannot locate your card, you must request a replacement card. Verification letters can be printed at anytime online. This fact sheet provides helpful information about these changes.
