|
When you plan for retirement, you plan for a lot of things: where you'll live, how you'll spend your free time, how much money you'll need to cover your expenses... But have you considered what would happen if you were sick or injured? Would Medicare pay for your care in a nursing home or at home? If you enroll in Medicaid, will you lose your home? Will your kids be available to provide care if you need it? Long-term care is an often overlooked aspect of retirement planning - and it could cost you - it terms of money and freedom of choice. You can learn about this important part of retirement planning at Council on Aging's popular Own Your Future workshop. Join us 9am-2pm, Sept. 21, in Hamilton for our next workshop. Registration required - deadline is Sept. 19. Click here for information about speakers and how to register.
