I am excited to announce that the the CourAGE Youth Health Coalition is now accepting 2015-16 member applications

CourAGE (See Our Advocacy, Generation & Education) Youth Health Coalition is a youth-centered and directed group that plays a leadership role in addressing health-related issues. Members develop skills that empower them to create healthy school and community environments through awareness and advocacy projects. More information is available on the App Cover Page

Contra Costa young people currently in grades 7-11 are eligible to apply. Applications are due Friday, May 1.

New E-cigarette Ad Campaign

In case you missed it, the California Department of Public Health has released a new advertising campaign to counter the surge of e-cigarettes. The campaign, 
Wake Up, exposes the health risks associated with e-cigarettes, dispels some of the misinformation about e-cigarettes, and shines a light on the marketing practices being used.The primary target audience is 18-24 year olds.
