Teens who try menthol cigarettes are 80% more likely to become regular smokers than those young people who experiment with regular cigarettes.

California has the third lowest percentage of youth who have smoked cigarettes in the past 30 days. However, California comes in 14th for the percentage of youth who perceive there is great harm in using cigarettes, (67%), leaving room for improvement.
