Thank You!

A HUGE thank you to Holly Kosderka for making and donating the "No Parking" signs for our parent pick up area.  We certainly appreciate having more permanent signs and such unique ones as well!

 Naas Community Club News

Cookie Dough Sales have just wrapped up.  Thank you to all who participated!  We'll have results on how much money the fundraiser generated in the March newsletter.

Notes have started to go out about the Art Walk/Family Fun Night event coming in May.  Please be thinking about how you might contribute or help out.  Do you have an item that might be auctioned off?  Do you know an artist who would donate a piece of work for the raffle?  Are you able to be part of the volunteer crew who will organize, set up and run the event?  All forms of help are welcome and needed!  Please contact the school office if you have time, skill or information to offer.

Kids and Entertainment
Movies (as well as television shows and video games) can be a great choice for entertainment for children and families.  Yet how do you know just what content is in a given movie or game?  The best method is for you, as the parent, to preview shows or games before your child gets involved, but this isn't necessarily realistic.  A "quick check" is provided by the rating system that is in place for all movies, video games and many television programs.

MOVIES
G - GENERAL AUDIENCES (Content is appropriate for all ages.)

PG - PARENTAL GUIDANCE (May contain some material parents may not like for their children to view.)

PG13 - PARENTS STRONGLY CAUTIONED
(Parents are urged to be cautious. Some material may be    inappropriate for pre-teenagers.)

R - RESTRICTED (Parents strongly cautioned as movie contains adult content related to sexuality, nudity, violence, drug use, etc.)

NC17 - NO ONE 17 AND UNDER ADMITTED IN THEATERS
(Strong adult content related to sex, violent acts, blatant drug use, etc.)

Please carefully screen movies and video games before your child watches or gets involved.  We see a growing number of students at school talking about movies they watch or games they play that are not appropriate for students in the elementary grades.  With the help of parents, we can hopefully steer students to enjoy entertainment through movies and games appropriate for their age.

Clothing Needed

We are in need of clothing to restock our Sharing Closet.  This is the clothing we provide to students if they just need a change to get through the school day.  Sweatpants and leggings of various sizes are the best items as they can be adapted to fit students of various sizes.
