Be inspired, see the possibilities and reach your potential at the 2013 Empowerment Summit.

This event is sponsored by The Movement & Neuroperformance Center of Colorado dedicated to delivering empathic care, empowering patients and supporting optimal care.
Greetings!

The Empowerment Summit is an inspirational seminar for people living with a neurologic condition.

Can you or someone you know benefit from a day of inspiration and empowerment? We invite you, your friends & family to an afternoon of unbelievable stories of courage and triumph on the first MS-Parkinson's Kilimanjaro adventure.

"Reach beyond your limits and shatter the labels of disease and disability"

Hear from Neurology experts Monique Giroux, MD and Sierra Farris, PAC as they share lessons learned on the mountain and in the clinic for optimal well-being.

Please take a moment to meet our speakers below.
Keynote Lori Schneider
Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis
International speaker Lori Schneider will take us on a journey - "Climbing Beyond our Limits"

Join Lori as she weaves tales of adventure and brings us to the top of the seven summits and ultimately Mt Everest. This is more than a climbing adventure, it is one woman's story of moving beyond a diagnosis of MS and turning adversity into triumph. It is a story of scaling mountains and obstacles we all face in our individual lives and climbing beyond our own preconceived limitations.

"Believe in yourself, don't be afraid to try and follow your dreams whatever your dreams are."

Dr. Monique Giroux - Team Doctor
Dr. Monique Giroux

"Your mind leads and your body follows." The 'power of the mind' is our greatest strength when faced with any challenge."

We began the Empowerment Summit in Seattle and are excited to bring this event to Denver
to help you realize your full potential during this day of
inspiration, positive adaptation and possibility.

Dr. Giroux will share lessons learned on the mountain and in the clinic as they apply to living your best.
Sierra Farris PA - Team Medic
Sierra Farris, PA - Team Medic

Sierra joined the team with an important purpose:

"To strengthen the lives of those impacted by a neurological condition though self-empowerment and break down barriers and myths that have defined individuals by a disease for decades."

Sierra will share her initial concerns, daily medical triage and the emotional journey in living in the moment with some incredibly strong and courageous individuals with Parkinson's and MS.
John & Martha Carlin - Climbers
Diagnosed with Parkinson's - John describes his thoughts about joining the team

"This was huge! This group defied the skeptics and the naysayers. We challenged ourselves physically and you too can conquer your own Kilimanjaro."

Martha will share a dialogue about changing your perspective. "I am a firm believer that your mental outlook has a profound impact on your health."
