Volunteers Are the Roots of Hypertension Canada
Special thanks to our volunteers for their outstanding contributions!

Hypertension Canada thanks all of our volunteers for their amazing work and contributions to the organization, helping to achieve our vision that Canadians will have the best managed blood pressure in the world. In celebration of National Volunteer Week, April 10-16, we spoke with a few of our volunteers about their contributions to Hypertension Canada and highlights of their time with the organization. From knowledge translation work in Ukraine and executing a successful Canadian Hypertension Congress, to overseeing the development and maintenance of the annually updated Hypertension Canada CHEP Guidelines, Hypertension Canada's volunteers are the roots of this organization.

Request to join the Sodium Advocacy Group

Canada's Sodium Reduction Strategy will hit an important milestone in 2016, the year the food industry was to have delivered on a number of its sodium reduction targets. Given a 2015 study showing that there has not been a reduction in dietary sodium, a group of experts and advocates is coming together to hold the government and the food industry to account on their sodium reduction commitments. If you would like to join this group, please send your statement of interest to felicia.flowitt@hypertension.ca.
