Blood Pressure Measurement: Calling for a turn of the century
In 2015, how does the sphygmomanometer measure up?

The CHEP Guidelines promote the use of automated technologies for blood pressure measurement, but the aneroid sphyg is still a common sight in clinics around the country. In this article published in the National Post last Friday, Drs. Lyne Cloutier and Mark Gelfer discuss the risk of misdiagnosis associated with outdated measurement methods.

Hypertension Canada is calling for the integration of the CHEP Guidelines to medical, nursing and pharmacy school curricula; for professional associations to promote best practices among members; and for governments to provide appropriate funding mechanisms to support the adoption of new technologies.

Congratulations to Hypertension Canada's
