Hypertension Canada invites you to our 5th annual Canadian Hypertension Congress (CHC), which gathers key opinion leaders and faculty and showcases the latest research in hypertension. It is the only congress designed specifically to enable the development and exchange of evidence-based information on the pathobiology and management of hypertension.

The Board is responsible for managing the affairs of Hypertension Canada.  It establishes policy, monitors activities and takes action to further Hypertension Canada's objectives.  The Board meets at least four times each year, via teleconference, plus twice in person, including once at Hypertension Canada's Canadian Hypertension Congress at which the Annual General Meeting of members is held.  Hypertension Canada bears the full cost of attending these meetings. Directors of Hypertension Canada's Board are expected to participate in at least one standing committee of the Board (Finance, Governance, Recognition Awards, and Research Policy) or of the Operations Committee.

Let's Make Nutrition a Priority in Canada
It's quick, easy and effective to add your voice

Canada is facing a chronic disease crisis of which the health and economic burdens are enormous, unsustainable and preventable. Poor diet continues to be the leading risk factor for chronic diseases in Canada. 

The HSFC/CIHR Chair of Hypertension Prevention and Control is calling for strong national leadership to prioritize and implement population-based interventions to improve diet because they are the best way promote healthy weights and prevent and control chronic diseases.
