Launched: Hypertension Canada's on-line Professional Education Program

Hypertension Canada is pleased to announce the launch of our on-line Professional Education Program - PEP on- line - developed to meet the continuing education needs of healthcare professionals who work with hypertensive and pre-hypertensive patients. PEP on-line is generously supported with grants from:
The first series, in partnership with the Société québécoise d'hypertension artérielle and titled "Systematic Management of Hypertensive Patients", is now live. The online training course is designed to allow you to participate at your own rhythm, and provides a certificate of completion and 15.5 hours of continuing medical education credits. Hypertension Advisory Committee: Watch on the environment
As part of the Hypertension Advisory Committee, Hypertension Canada joined seven other member organizations in Ottawa May 12-13 to address current issues and review position statements on dietary matters affecting the prevention and control of hypertension. Led by Dr. Norm Campbell, the Heart & Stroke Foundation and CIHR Chair in Hypertension prevention and control, the committee provides advice and direction to support and advance the implementation of the 2012 Healthy Blood Pressure in Canada framework report, with a priority on healthy public policy. Dr. Norm Campbell, founding board member of Hypertension Canada, appointed to the Order of Canada
Markham, Ontario (July 4, 2014) - Hypertension Canada is pleased to celebrate the appointment of one of its founding board members, Dr. Norm Campbell, professor of medicine at the University of Calgary, as Member of the Order of Canada. Dr. Campbell was among 82 inductees to the Order of Canada, one of the country's highest civilian honours, announced by the Governor-General's office and carried by many national and local news outlets.
