The 2013 CHC held at Vascular 2013 was reported to be a great success with a well received scientific programme. We extend our thanks to the many volunteers who worked on the planning and hosting of the event.

The CHEP Consensus Conference was convened October 16 - 17, 2013, at the Vascular 2013 Congress, bringing together experts in the field of hypertension to review the evidence for the proposed 2014 CHEP recommendations. One of the issues debated was the appropriate recommendation for sodium intake levels for Canadians.
