Greetings!
What if today was my last morning to awaken from sleep, to get out of bed, to eat a lunch? What if this were the last day of my life? That is reality for thousands of people on the day I write this as well as the day you read it, and every day before and after.
The Psalmist states: This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it (Psalm 118:24). I need to constantly be reminded to live in the present. Stress, worry, anxiety. . . they all move my thoughts to tomorrow and beyond. In the process, I so often lose today. The joy, wonder and beauty each day brings.
How about you? Do you live appreciating this day, this moment? Even in tough moments, God is with us to bring joy and blessing. Take a few moments to stop and give praise and thanks to God for this day. Rejoice in this day. Be glad for the moment given to you right now. (For more thoughts on this, take a few moments and read Matthew 6:25-34).
