Greetings!
Window Sills and Walls: Tigger, a few handbells, a brass mug with staff names imprinted on it, a picture of a trumpet player, of me having fun with kids in an orphanage in South Africa, clay images of some of the stories of Jesus, an old piece of paper with my hand print and both hand prints from our kids when they were little.  A mismatch collection of things near and precious to my heart. Each item tells a whole story of my life.  The little plastic boat given to me by my son years ago. The mug from staff I worked with in the 80s. The clay images of the stories told by Jesus come from Sedona, a special place for me and JoAnn. The clay Noah's Ark we purchased when we adopted Jenna from Bogota, Colombia.  The list goes on and on. Each item tells a story. A story that has shaped my life. People whom I have known who touched me deeply. Without any piece of this bric-a-brac, my life isn't the same.

So too my faith.  People and events have shaped who I am and what I believe. Take one or two away, and how different my faith becomes. What about you? Do you ever stop and think about the people, the events, the moments that shaped you? Are you living in one of those moments right now? Summer is a good time to slow down and ponder all that has been a part of your life, especially in the area of faith. Step back and give thanks to God for God's loving grace and goodness in your life. And think about what you would place on your windowsill and walls to reflect those experiences.

Confirmation Sunday, June 21

Come give praise to God as three of our youth profess their faith and are welcomed into membership here at CPC. This will be a day to celebrate both in worship and a reception immediately following the service. Over the past months, Ashley Lounsberry, Emily Sabo and Alison Woerner have been meeting to talk about the Bible, Faith, God, the church and so much more. And now they come ready to profess their faith before God and before you, their loving Community of Faith. Join us for this special morning!

Olsen's Cafe and Sunday Night Youth Group is On Break in June
Please keep the students and their chaperones in your thoughts and prayers as they prepare this month for their Mission Trip to Mobile, Alabama.

Check Out Ways To Help The Sabo Family

Steve and Cindy Sabo will be at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for several months beginning June 22 for Steve's bone marrow transplant. Sign-up sheets outside the sanctuary today outline ways you can help provide meals, support and comfort as they face this challenge and are unable to work. A collection basket is also available for donations to help provide them with a Visa cash card to purchase cafeteria meals at the hospital. Steve will be in isolation, and later both Steve and Cindy will need to stay at a nearby outpatient facility while his condition is monitored. Your help and prayers are greatly appreciated.

Kids w/Karts

We will collect food and monetary donations on June 7 for the Ball-Chatham Food Pantry. Items in greatest need now are hot and cold cereals, but the demand for all items will increase during the school's summer vacation.
