Super Bowl Sunday!
Can you imagine being at the Super Bowl? A friend of mine won a ticket a few years back to go to the big game. What a thrill. To be around all the excitement. To join in the festivities. To see the game, if even from way up high. To tell all your friends and co-workers you were at the big game. Even better, can you imagine playing in that game? Nothing too dangerous, maybe just as a kicker? To be a part of the actual game would be something that could change your life forever.
Thinking about God's Kingdom is a lot like that. Everyone of faith cheers on the idea of God's Kingdom here on earth. We want peace, we want justice, we want love for everyone. So we cheer on God and some of the main players. Others hear our story about how we are there, week in and week out, cheering God on. We shout, we pray. And for the most part, that seems enough. To just be a part of it, not an outside observer.
Yet, what if we were actually in the game? Is it enough to cheer God on, or is it even better to work side by side with God in bringing peace and love to our world? Does God want our reaction to what is happening, or does He want our help in making it become reality?
Get in the game. God needs you. CPC needs you. What is happening is the biggest game in this life. We not only have a front row seat, but we are also invited to be on the field, one of the team players, working toward a whole new way of life.

Mission Corner
Frontline Youth loved the hairnets, helped wash a lot of dishes and served dinner at St. John's Breadline on a half day off from school in late January.
A week later, our CPC 10-12 year-olds helped prepare a meal at church and then delivered and served at the Salvation Army Overflow Shelter. The chili and the kids' smiles were a huge hit with the clients!
