Blessed...Being a Blessing
Do you ever stop and count ALL your blessings? We are aware of the enormous blessings in life - family, friends, a home, food, clothing and so much m ore. If we stop and count all our blessings, it would take so long, we might never get anything accomplished. And yet, taking just a little time to say thank you to God for all the wonderful gifts given to us is important to do on a regular basis. Such prayers and accounting of our blessings leads us to consider how we might say Thank You.
There are so many different ways to give thanks to God: being a great parent or spouse, bringing donations to the Food Pantry, or volunteering for a worthy cause. Whenever you help others by sharing the blessings given to you, you are responding to God's love in your life. Today, I invite you to begin thinking about your blessings and how you respond to God's blessings. Over the next two weeks, we will begin talking about how we respond by giving back to God in our lives through the work and ministry of CPC. You see, I don't believe I give to a Church. I give to God and what God is doing in and through this church. As God has blessed me, I want to help God be a blessing to all of you and to the world through the gifts I offer. Begin praying about how God has blessed you, and how you might become a blessing to others through your commitments to God here at CPC. Pastor Jim

HOLIDAY BOOK DRIVE COMING IN NOVEMBER
Think Mission? Think Books during the month of November! The Holiday Book Drive is a mission-sponsored endeavor for Chatham Presbyterian during the month of November. This program is designed to provide
new books to children at Christmastime. Donated books are given to 18 social service agencies who in turn give them to children under their care. A collection box for the books will be located by the "Mission Board" during the month of November. An envelope will also be provided for anyone wishing to make a monetary contribution (please make checks payable to Holiday Book Drive.) Every dollar donated goes directly to the purchase of new children's books. For more information, please contact Jane Byram at byrams1@comcast.net.

FOOD PANTRY
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
The pantry is in need of a Public Information Coordinator and a
Food Pantry Communication Coordinator.
If you'd like to use your communication and organizational skills to assist the Ball-Chatham Food Pantry, there are positions now available. In these volunteer jobs, you would help communicate the pantry's needs to the public, and interface with the public in coordinating special events and food drives.
Each of these jobs requires only a few hours per week, and you would be helping a very worthy cause in the community.
