cross2.jpg Jim's "Quote Corner"

"More than anything else, the cross says that God can and must be seen in all things, but most especially in the seemingly sinful, broken and tragic things. The place of the supposed worst becomes the place of the very best. The mystery of the cross teaches us to be prepared to be surprised about how and where God reveals God's heart. It is beyond our control." From Hope Against Darkness by John Feister and Richard Rohr.

Mission Inside the Doors:

Before we hit the streets, we have some mission work to complete here at CPC.

We'd love to have all hands on deck for a CPC "Work Week," Monday, August 11 through Thursday, August 14. We have some exciting projects, and much to do: bring down walls, repair ceilings, refresh with paint, fix and spruce-up wherever needed.

Morning, afternoon and evening shifts available. Consider signing up for a few shifts, a whole day or even the entire week. Have some vacation to use up? Make it a productive gift of your time. Contact the church office to sign up or email Mark Biel or Scott Kaiser for more information.
