A Note from Pastor Jim
Wow!!
We can't say it enough: JoAnn and I are thrilled to be here with you. And it just gets better and better with this amazing, energized congregation! We feel so much contentment and peace with this moment in our lives.
I hope we never take our wonderful blessings for granted. We're not perfect, and there are always challenges, but I see a congregation that takes Jesus' call seriously, feels the true power of prayer which connects us, praises God in spirit-filled worship, and is always ready to step out in faith.
My prayer is that everyone feels God's love at work here. And may we never take for granted this wonderful place we call CPC. God's blessing be with us all as we live in His amazing grace. -- Jim

THANK YOU ONE AND ALL:
VBS WAS AMAZING!
We are so blessed to have an amazingly dedicated group of people who make VBS possible.
Thank you to all the activity leaders, counselors, actors/singers, set builders, technical experts, kitchen staff and welcome greeters, as well as all who donated props and supplies.
You all rock!
Each evening we provided meals for families, kids and volunteers prior to the activities. We greatly appreciate the Life Groups and CPC families who provided meals, supplies and monetary donations to make these yummy dinners possible.
To celebrate the end of our week, we were so fortunate to have Life Groups and volunteers host a VBS picnic. We had a great time relaxing on the lawn, and it was so appreciated!
Last, but not least, thank you to VBS leaders, Judy Woerner and Laura Van Proyen. Your leadership and dedication are a blessing! | |

Jim's "Quote Corner"
"When the candle is burning, who looks at the wick? When the candle is out, who needs it? But the world without light is wasteland and chaos, and a life without sacrifice is abomination."

CPC Food Drive In July
Look for Kids with Karts!
Hungry families - hungry kids. There's a growing need for food right here in Chatham. That's why each Sunday this month, we're asking everyone to bring food donations to support the Ball-Chatham Food Pantry.
Kids with Karts will greet you on the sidewalks beginning July 6 with grocery carts to collect your items. Then, during offering time, the kids will bring the carts forward as a symbol of our response to God's love. Let's overflow those carts in July! Needs include: canned veggies/fruit, rice, chili, all soups, hot/cold cereals, and other non-perishable items.
