Issue 19

From the Pastor:
Thanks so much to each of you of CPC who gave toward our awesome South Bend weekend. It was so much fun for Malia and I to see the campus of Notre Dame and then watch The University of Oklahoma win the football game. Between the bands, the game and the fans...we had a blast. Thank you so very much! It was a weekend of a lifetime, and we will never forget your generosity.

Thanks also to the small but mighty crowd of 82 people who attended church this past Sunday and heard an awesome message from Mary Byers entitled "Fear Not." If you were out of town, like we were and many others, be sure to take a listen later this week to Mary's uploaded message in our Sermon Archive.

New Sermon Series starting!

Beginning this Sunday, I am teaching a new 6-week series called "Standing on the Promises." You guessed it...we are going to look at several of the crazy good promises our Lord makes to each of His Children, each and every day. I promise you that if you will come, strap in and open your heart to His awesome promises...you will grow closer to Him than you have ever been.

Finally, who are you inviting to church? I am going to just bluntly ask you...have you invited anyone to church in a while? I know, it's so easy to just be comfortable as we are. However, we must be more pro-active in inviting others to church. Let me challenge you to invite the check-out person at the store, your investment broker, your dentist...whoever...they are waiting for you to ask!

I love you all, and I love being your interim pastor.

Your Pastor for now,

Ken
