Issue 16
Greetings!

Ken preaching Good to Great Yes, it's summer, and we are going to turn the stereotypical "low attendance, low giving, low commitment" on its head this year.  Please invite your friends to join us for our current series: "Good to Great!" which continues through July!

Also, we will have a Special Offering this Sunday. As many of you heard in our Church FYI meeting this past Sunday, we are being challenged to raise $40,000.00 to better afford the next pastor. To do this, I am asking each of us to give a sacrificial gift, above your tithe, to a special offering to be taken this Sunday after communion. When we raise this money, the Presbytery will allow us to continue our search process for a new pastor. I know we can do this CPC! Will you join me in praying about what you can give for the rest of this week, and then let's celebrate together this Sunday when we see what we can raise.

In His Grip,

Ken Macken

Janice and nursery A Heart Felt Thank You to Nursery Coordinator Janice Farah
Janice will step down from the Nursery Coordinator position after many years of serving our church's smallest people. She looks forward to worshiping with the CPC family after her last day in the nursery, July 14th.  Words fall short, but on behalf of the many families who have left their little ones with Janice each Sunday -  thank you for your love, your warmth and your care for our children. You nurtured these treasures from infant to toddler to preschool and on, and we are so grateful for your service.
