Greetings!
Chatham Presbyterian Church experienced many joys in June! Thirty helpers of all ages brought their power washers, chain saws, garden tools and sweat equity to clean up the grounds around the Lord's House at 1835 East Walnut. Thank you to all who spent part of their Saturday morning pulling weeds, washing windows, picking up trash, hauling firewood and other tasks. Stay tuned for a Fall Work Day later this year.
Rain! On our first "Lunch on the Lawn" picnic. We needed it (and more!). But all was well as folks brought their picnic goodies and sat on the freshly power-washed sidewalks under some cover. Everyone stayed dry, and the fellowship was fun. Mark your calendar for our next "Lunch on the Lawn" summer picnic scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 15th. "Sing to the King" Worship Event will be Wednesday, July 18th starting with Tailgate Fellowship at 5:30 p.m. in the parking lot and moving indoors to the sanctuary for an evening of worship with the Youth Praise Band. A love offering will be taken to benefit Kailey's Krew Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Illinois. Be sure to bring your friends and family - all welcome! Enjoy this issue of the newsletter. |

Thank You from Joe and Susan
Dear Friends,
As we come to the end of our time at Chatham Presbyterian on June 30, Susan and I want to express our sincere appreciation for your many kind notes, emails, and phone calls. Our sixteen years with CPC will always be a special time for us. As we look forward to new areas and ways of ministry, we pray that God will continue to bless you and fulfill his great plans for all of us.
Sincerely,
Joe & Susan Eby

Clubhouse Summer Mission Supporting Our Youth Missionaries
The bags are decorated, the cards are made. All we need to complete our goody bag project is lots of goodies to fill them. Would you help the Clubhouse kids as they support our youth mission trip attendees? Bring your contributions of 25 to 30 items of snack food, candy or small fun or comfort items for their travels to the box near the Welcome Center or to The Clubhouse by Sunday, July 8. Please avoid chocolate or things will melt quickly in the heat. We thank you for your generosity. If you have questions, contact event coordinator, Sarah Peterman, at 622-7236 or dutchjo@comcast.net.

Promotions and Farewells - Ready for the New School Year
The Clubhouse welcomes those 4-year-old preschoolers who will begin kindergarten in August of 2013! They will join this year's kindergarteners in our ORANGE GROUP on August 5. Students in 1st and 2nd grades will be our GREEN GROUP, and those in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades will make up the BLUE GROUP.
PARENTS: To prepare us for the upcoming school year, please take a moment when you check in your Clubhouse kids one Sunday in July to review and update their registration information.
We say goodbye to our friends in 6th and 7th grade as they move on to join middle school CORE groups and youth activities. We will miss them, but look forward to seeing what God has in store for them next. Parents, be watching for information coming from Frontline Student Ministries or contact Brian Durbin if you have questions about the new opportunities for your young people.
