Sue Krummel, General Presbyter, will moderate the meeting. Business is limited to the following question:
The session moves for approval of the following dissolution agreement and severance package negotiated and agreed to by the Session, the Presbytery representatives (pending approval by the Committee on Ministry) and Joe Eby.
1. The pastoral relationship between Chatham Presbyterian Church and Joe Eby will be dissolved effective June 30, 2012. He will take vacation days in May and sabbatical time in June including attending a conference in Washington Island, Wisconsin, paid for through professional expenses funds. He will also keep the laptop that CPC paid for in 2008, which is now fully depreciated.
2. Consistent with the Committee on Ministry guidelines of November 29, 2011, the Chatham Presbyterian Church will provide effective salary plus benefits to Joe Eby for a period of 6 months following the dissolution, until December 31, 2012. Benefits will cease December 31, 2012.
3. Also consistent with the Committee on Ministry guidelines of November 29, 2011, the Chatham Presbyterian Church will provide 80% of effective salary for the month of January, 2013, 60% of effective salary for the month of February, 2013, 40% for the month of March, 2013 and 20% for the month of April, 2013. This extension is terminated if Joe Eby finds full employment, a call elsewhere or retires.
